Un día de sol enmarcó nuestro gran recorrido por la Carrera Séptima. Un cielo azul nos permitió interactuar con vocabulario interesante acerca de esta zona de Bogotá.
Some curious facts for you that were told during the tour.
- Do you know that number four in the clock of one of the two towers is like this IIII instead of IV? It is like this because Louis XIV, king of France, who preferred IIII over IV, ordered his clockmakers to produce clocks with IIII and not IV, and thus it has remained.
- The Statue of Simóm Bolívar was sculptured in 1846 by the Italian Pietro Tenerani, which was the first ever public monument in the city.
- In 1950, Plaza de Bolivar (Bolivar Square) became a public parking lot with some fountains and markets.
At 2.10pm our English tour started with some interaction with the invited native English Spoken Teachers:
An American Teacher
An Australian Teacher
A British Teacher
A Canadian Teacher
During the tour, we could do some fun things such as learning how to juggle thanks to our American teacher.
There were great learning moments and all the participants had meaningful experiences.
The tour finished at 4:00pm at Rosario Square with lots of wonderful memories about it , not only for the participants but also for teachers and organizers.
Hope you can join us in our Next Interactive Experience.
